Open Gym Dates for the 2024-25 School Year
Shabonee and Wood Oaks will be open for basketball for students and community members from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on the remaining Saturdays:
- December 14, 2024
- January 11, 2025
- January 25, 2025
- February 8, 2025 (Shabonee only)
- February 22, 2025
- March 8, 2025
The gyms are for basketball only. All students in grades K-5 must be accompanied by an adult. Students in grades K-5 and their parents should use the gym at Shabonee. Students in grades 6-8 should use the large gym at Wood Oaks located on the west side of the building. High school students and adult community members should use the small gym at Wood Oaks located on the north side of the building. All participants must be picked up by 12 p.m. Those attending must sign in and out.
Glenbrook North High School Broadcasting Clinic - an opportunity for 8th-grade students!
The Glenbrook North High School Broadcasting Department is hosting a FREE hands-on media clinic for 8th graders on Thursday, January 9 from 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM. This workshop is for students who are interested in TV, Radio, Podcasting, News, Sports, & Filmmaking. The event will run from 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM in the Glenbrook North High School Broadcasting Room (Room A116).
To ensure a spot, please register as soon as possible, as we can only accommodate the first 75 students who sign up. The camp is for 8th graders at NBJH, Maple, Field, Wood Oaks & Private School students who will be attending GBN next year. The clinic will be led by current GBN Broadcast students and instructors. Registration is available through January 7 at gbnbroadcasting.com
