Wood Oaks Newsletter: Parent-Teacher Conferences, Book Fair

Parent Teacher Conferences

Wood Oaks Parent Teacher Conferences will be held virtually through Meet the Teacher on Wednesday and Thursday, February 7 & 8. Please check your email for your schedule and links to connect to your conferences online.

PTA Scholastic Book Fair

Please support the Wood Oaks PTA and encourage your child to read by purchasing a book or more through the Scholastic Book Fair. Students will be able to purchase books in person on Monday and Tuesday. If you have not yet set up an eWallet through Scholastic, we highly encourage this to make purchasing very easy. More information can be found below in the PTA section.

GBN Activity/Athletic Night

On Thursday, February 15, GBN will hold a meeting for all incoming freshmen regarding activities and athletics. We highly encourage all 8th-grade students and parents to attend this meeting, which will be held at GBN in the Center for Performing Arts (CPA) at 6:00 pm.

2023-2024 Yearbook Ordering

There is still time to order your child a yearbook. Ordering will close before spring break, so please order now to ensure your child has their yearbook in June. All orders are through, and our school passcode is 1016748434624230. Information can be found on this flyer from Treering

National Black History Month

District 27 will be recognizing National Black History Month from Feb. 1 to March 1. This is a time to recognize the contributions and achievements of African Americans, including their central role in U.S. history. It serves as an important reminder of the challenges faced and progress made throughout time. At Wood Oaks, we continue to highlight a diverse group of influential leaders all year long through school-wide themes such as sports, science, or technology.
